David is an award-winning documentary producer and director. Most recently, he has been a producer for Imagine Entertainment, working alongside Ron Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard on their latest documentaries, including the 2x Emmy nominated WE FEED PEOPLE (2022, National Geographic) and DADS (2019, Apple TV+). In 2001, after graduating from UC Berkeley, he produced and directed the feature documentary FIGURES & LOOPS about the quirky world of artistic roller-skating. Since then he has worked for ABC TV in Australia (2009), traveled across the USA filming people’s inspiring AHA MOMENTS (2010-2013), and documented the ancient traditions of the Tibetans in India and the Q’eros of Peru (2015-16). He produced and co-directed DIVIDE IN CONCORD (2014, PBS), a film about an 84-year old grandmother on a crusade to ban plastic bottled water, which premiered at Hot Docs and won awards at festivals around the world. His film THE MOST IDEAL PLACE (2019) was awarded Best Film at NASA Cinespace in Houston and THIS OTHER WORLD (2020) won Best Documentary there the following year. His short, A FISTFUL OF RUBBISH (2020) is an environmental western documentary that screened at over 40 festivals around the world.
